Hello friends and family,
We’ve been back in Cambodia for a few weeks now, and we’re finally getting back into the swing of things. I experienced some reverse culture shock when I returned this time, which wasn’t so fun. For the first week or so I felt overwhelmed and emotional every time I left the house. Driving the motorcycle and going grocery shopping exhausted me. It’s funny that I experienced it this time, because I’ve been going back and forth for more than 15 years now. You would think that I would have moved beyond dealing with culture shock. 😂 Thankfully I am doing much better now.
Our time in the USA was refreshing! We were there for four weeks, and spent a total of 10 days camping in a tent in the beautiful Oregon outdoors. We love camping, so for us, time in nature is rejuvenating. We also had the privilege of sharing about the Water Project at two different churches. And finally, we enjoyed time with my family, and Benjamin got to know his cousins. A few of his highlights from the trip were camping with cousins, getting pulled behind a boat on an inner tube, and swimming at my parents house. Over the 4th of July weekend we went to a rodeo, which was a new experience for Lukas and Benjamin. Hee-haw cowboy! 🤠
While we were away the Lunch and Tutoring program was busy building a new library. A few months ago I wrote about a one-time giving opportunity for any interested sponsors. A friend in Switzerland contacted me and donated $500 for the project. With that money we were able to buy a bookshelf and 125 books to help the church launch their little library. It’s now open in the afternoons during the Lunch and Tutoring program, and Saturday mornings for a few hours for the public. The kids absolutely love the new addition to the program!
On July 18th Lukas went out with our newest partner Pastor Song, a Korean Missionary who has been working in Cambodia for 14 years. Pastor Song has a ministry that drills wells in remote, needy communities. A few months ago we met together and discussed the advantages of partnering up to bring clean water to Cambodia. He would drill the wells and we would bring the filters. Then Pastor Song needed to go to Korea and when he came back we were in the USA. But, finally, we have installed our first well + filter together! We are excited about this new partnership and hope that we can reach many more communities by working together.
Well, that’s it for this month. Thanks for taking the time to read and pray and be a part of what we’re doing over here.

Jenny, Lukas and Benjamin Graf
